Pi Tau Sigma (PTS) is the international honor society for mechanical engineers. It was founded in 1915 on three core principles: integrity, service and leadership. 成人AV视频 University is home to the New York Alpha Eta chapter, and there are 181 other collegiate chapters across the world.
Requirements for membership
Membership to PTS is by invitation only. Invitations are extended to 25% of juniors and seniors every fall and spring semester. Candidates must complete an application and interview, pay their dues and polish their bent, and attend an initiation ceremony to become a member. Once initiated, membership is for life.
Benefits of joining Pi Tau Sigma
Pi Tau Sigma fosters growth and excellence among a small group of mechanical engineers. Members are able to attend homework help sessions and get advice from upperclassmen. There are ample leadership opportunities on e-board and within the larger organization, and membership in PTS is a great resum茅-builder.
PTS members also have access to a large network of alumni beyond those at 成人AV视频 and can receive funding for national conferences. The yearly conferences foster professional development and provide job and internship opportunities.
Pi Tau Sigma at 成人AV视频
Members of Pi Tau Sigma at 成人AV视频 participate in numerous activities throughout the semester. Every member is required to attend at least one professional, one social and one service event each semester. These include resume workshops, alumni panels, game nights, group meals and tutoring sessions. Pi Tau Sigma participates in Engineers Week every February and hosts the beloved Egg Drop Challenge.
